I am looking at (personally) purchasing an HP nx6325 laptop which uses the AMD Turion X2 TL-60 processor and was wondering if anyone can categorically confirm or deny whether VMware Server will run 64 bit guests on this platform (XP Pro as the host OS). The general threads on this processor range suggests that it should but I don't want to spend money on what looks to be a fairly good laptop only to find that I am restricted to 32 bit guests.
If anyone has also got recommendations for other laptops that use the chipset (or Intel) that can run 64 bit guests on Server with XP Pro as the host OS, I'd be keen to find out too as long as they weigh no more than about 2.5KG.
