Vpn connection in guest.

I'm trying to use Netscren remote vpn client to connect to a server on a lan to get internet access. Trough the vpn server is the only way because otherwise our wireless network traffic could get compromised. (we are 250 IT students sharing 10 wireless routers, some of the students are hacker wannabe's so our school locks us down pretty tight) before the vpn client you could monitor other people and online accounts were sniffed. Not good, the vpn also makes it trickier to play WoW.

Anyway the network seems to be working for guest, it can ping other computers on the network and the vpn server (10.232.0.1 I think) the strange thing is that the guest got some strange IP adress even though I set it to nat. (brigded wont connect at all)  when I activate vpn client it gets a key (the icon in tray becomes green and has a small key in it.) but I still can't connect to the internet. First I thought it was a dns error but attempting to ping google (by IP number) didn't work.

The client isn't to happy with other connections once it's activated and routes everything through itself so I can no longer ping network servers. It doesn't like it likes any type of connection other to the vpn server.

This is all very frustrating

ps linux host, seems to be no compatible client for linux that's why I'm trying this.
