VMWare advantages on 32 or 64 bit host OS?

Hi,

I  would like to know if anybody has any experience to share in regards to wether or not running the host OS in 32 or 64 bit. I understand that VMWare can run 32 & 64 bit guest when you have a 64 bit OS, but if you only plan to run 32 bit guest OS, are there any advantages to run the host OS in 64 bit mode?

My initial thought was that a 64 bit OS is usually able to scale better under load, but requires more memory to operate, which might affect more VMWare in this situation by limiting the mem avail for Guests OS.

Thank you in advance for sharing your experience and rational. I am about to install VMWare on a production server and I need to decide wether to use a 32 or 64 bit host OS.

Cheers!
