Hi everyone,
I just wanted to share some problems I'm having with the GA version of VMWare server. I was able to run multiple VM's on a Dell Poweredge 1750 with the beta builds with no problem. Now that I've installed the GA version the server will run for several hours with one VM running before it blue screens. Starting 2 VM's will make it blue screen almost immediately.
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the product but that hasn't helped. After watching the blue screen a couple of times I was able to catch the error, which is "DRIVER_IRQL_LESS_THAN_OR_EQUAL" and I saw baspxp32.sys as the main faulting driver. I traced this to the "BASP Virtual Adapter" which is installed as the server has 2 Broadcom NetExtreme Gigabit NIC's teamed for load balancing. I updated the driver for the NIC's thinking that would fix it, but it only stayed up a few hours before it blue screened again.
This is really odd because I didn't change the physical server configuration, just updated the VMware server software. Has anyone experienced anything like this?? Any ideas on where I can get an updated driver for the BASP Virtual Adapter to try and fix the problem?
Thanks for listening!
Mark
