Hi,
I have 2 virtual machines, VM1 and VM2, each one with 1GB RAM configured. I have 2 GB RAM in my host server. By default, I cannot run both VM at the same time without swapping.
Most of the time, VM1 and VM2 are not using more than 256 GB RAM each one, and only eventually one of them uses the whole 1 GB. As this is a configuration for test porpouses, I would like to run both machines at the same time WITHOUT swapping, and without reducing the maximum amount of memory for each VM. Is that possible? That is, is there a way to make with PHYSICAL memory the same thing as with VMDK files? I can have 2 VM, each one with a hard disk maximum size of 15 GB over a real disk of 20 GB, if the total data storaged in these VMs is smaller than 20 GB.
Thanks,
ERB
