Hi,
we currently evaluate GSX (and Workstation 5) on a Windows Server 2003 SBS host. Everything runs fine but there is a problem with the networking in bridged mode. The SBS server is equipped with two NICs (internal & external) and it is the DHCP, DNS, WINS and default gateway for the internal network. It is running the RRAS (not IAS). We disabled the automatic bridge and only bound the internal NIC to the VMWare Bridge Protocol. On the external NIC the Bridge Protocol is unchecked.
When using bridged networking for the guests everything seems fine: the guest has an IP adress, the correct DHCP options (DNS & gateway) and we can ping and traceroute every host on the internal[/i] network. But the guest can not access any IPs outside[/i] (on the internet). The only thing that works is the name resolution (okay, it's an internal communication).
When switching to NAT, the internet connection works.
Any suggestions?
Chris
P.S. We also tried VS2005, and there it works...
