I'm running Windows 2000 host and Windows 2000 guest. No laughter please.
The guest system has significantly lower throughput than the host. For example, using Windows file copy as a test, the host system can transfer a certain file to another station at 70 / Mbs. The guest system can transfer the same file to the same station at 12 / Mbs. Latency to gateway for host is < 1 ms, for guest it is < 10 ms.
This issue exists in NAT and bridged modes. VMWare tools are installed and the vmx driver is in use.
Suggestions appreciated.
