For hardware disaster recovery purposes, I am thinking about installing Microsoft Windows Small Business Server 2003 within a virtual machine, and using it in a production environment.
My concern is where should all user data be located (Office, Exchange DBs etc.); within the image itself, outside of the image but local to the VMware host or maybe even on a NAS?
Currently, our office data is around 50GB and Exchange 15GB - I am looking for a solution which will account for approx. 300GB in the future.
Any ideas how best to setup a SBS 2003 in a virtual machine & where my data should be located, would be much appreciated.
