I'm using VMWare GSX Server 3.2 on Windows 2003 Enterprise Server and run a Exchange Server 2003 in a VM. Sometimes (3 times last week) one if the network connection stops transferring any traffic, i can't ping into our out of the guest os. After deactivating und restarting the connection it works fine again (of course I have to restart the services). Only one network connection is affected,a second one connected to an iSCSI SAN shows no issues. Other VMs show no issues and the Host System does neither. Its only the one connection in the one VM. I already talked to the VMWare support and send support-logs but they didn't find out anything right now. I find a few threads discussing the same problem, but none offered solution. By now I'm trying to keep the connection alive with permanent ICMP echo requests, but since the problem occurred randomly and is not reproducible I can't test how this works by now.
The VM is new created and the are no duplicated of it (MAC Address and UUID are unique)
