Hello,
I have installed Vmware SRV on a AMD Athlon 64 3700 Mhz. The SRV has 2 GB Ram, 2x300 SATA disks, and runs under Suse Linux 10.1 32bit.
I have 3 hosts on that machine, all 3 have 500 MB Ram assigned, which is enough for the applications running.
1 host is Win2000SRV with only SQLServer running.
1 host is Win2003SRV SP1 with IIS and a SMTP engine (not heavy loaded).
1 host is Win20000SRV with IIS and about 2 Mbit/sec traffic load.
The general performance of those machines is slow.
Linux's top shows a heavy CPU load:

Copying files on the windows hosts is very very slow. Disk access seems also to be very slow.
Is this a known issue under certain circumstances?
Another problem on the Windows machines is that the time runs much faster.. on one server nearly twice as fast as normal.
Please help me to fix this.
Thanks.
