Hello,
I have recently installed the Beta on a Linux host.
If I run vmware and check the About... dialog, I see that there are expiry dates on both the product and the licence.
Now, I understand this is only a Beta - but what are the guarantees that the product and any VMs created will continue to run[/b] after the product/licence expiry date(s)? Will I be forced to upgrade to the widely available software when it is released or will I be able to continue using the beta?
I know from previous experience that expired licenses = suspended/unrunnable VMs.... please assure me this will not happen with the Beta version.
EDIT: I see from some other posts that I may need to obtain a "non-expiring" licence key. Please can I request this now? If I'm happy using the Beta, and it's truly free, then surely I should be able to run it with a non-expiring licence from the outset?
I see this thread

Why force users to migrate in this way? Surely if I want to use the beta, I should be allowed to continue to use it without restriction! I'm not paying for support - it should be my choice to upgrade. Is there a way to disable this limitation? If not.... Xen....
Thanks
ZB
