64-bit Support - What does it really mean?

I will be installing the new Server Beta tomorrow. I've poured through the readmes and stuff but I can't find an aswer to one question:

What's the deal with 64-bit support? I guess specifically:

(a) Like Workstation, do I need to run 64-bit host OS to run 64-bit guests?

(b) If so, is this only available on AMD Level E and Intel Vanderpool and newer, or can I also run on regular Xeon EM64T processors?

(c) Is the VMware Server the same codebase for installing on both 32- and 64-bit hosts?
