I have a VMWare Server on Windows XP running a single virtual machine running Windows 2000. The performance of the MSIE browser inside the virtual machine is horribly slow. The virtual machine has no paging internally, and the host OS is utilizing well under its physical memory so no paging there either. The VMWare Tools were installed without a problem. Host computer is 2.8 GHz and has 2 GB physical memory.
The browser can take five or six second to just open and everything feels like it is running in slow motion. Is this normal for this product? Is there any way to make it run faster?
