VMware Server Solaris 10x86 networking setup

What are the proper settings for the virtual network adaptor and for the Solaris configuration on my setup? ... spent many hours now trying different things...

VMware Server Beta with one VM guest: Solaris10x86 x64

AMD 64 bit chip running Windows XP x64.

Expect for networking, Solaris is installed and working.

I've read Alessandro Perilli's doc, "How to install Sun Solaris 10 inside VMware workstation 5.5".  It doesn't address how to configure Solaris.   I've read the HelpManual so I know what buttons to push to set things, just cannot get the settings to work...

I have a home network with a typical setup; NAT, linksys router with subnet 192.168.1.0/255.255.255.0.    Windows platforms are using DHCP to comcast ISP.

VMnet0 and VMnetX:  Do I bridge them?

Use NAT?   DHCP?

I have been assigning a static IP outside my DHCP range for my current Solaris on metal system.   What IP should I assign to solaris in vmware?

/etc/defaultrouter?

Should I sys-unconfig and choose DHCP?

I cannot get solaris to even ping 192.168.1.1.

Some the the attempts I've made have caused the host to stop networking.  (But it is working now.)
