Excuse me if this is a FAQ. I've searched for quite a while but haven't seen this exact question yet...
I have a Windows XP workstation that I connect to a corporate networking using the Cisco VPN client. Obviously when this is connected, I'm totally locked out of my local network.
Can I use VMware Server to create a Windows XP guest installation and use that to maintain access to my local network so I can still read my email/surf etc w/o going through the VPN tunnel?
I can of course give the guest it's own IP.
Thanks for any thoughts on how I might accomplish this. I'm assuming ESX server would certainly allow this, but it's a little out of my price range.
