I just upgraded my Host to support 4 more gig's ram and 1 more CPU. Updated the kernel on RHEL4 to the SMP 2.6.9-42.0.3 on the host
All is good for a few hours. Then for some odd reason. all the VM's start eating 2-3% CPU. I have 5 VM's running. All single CPU (all linux). Each guest VM has a modified RH kernel with HZ=100.
nothing seems slow. it's just odd that after a few hours the CPU on the Host is running 5-7% constantly for no apparent reason
I can reboot 3 of hte 5 VM's for a test in a few to see if the CPU usage goes away for them for a few hours. that's next to test.
Also disk usage. gkrellm on the host shows it's constantly writing to disk. no users on the VM's. just booted and idle.
