Lo,
Every now and then I find some VMs stuck on my server. Running "vmware-cmd /.../*.vmx answer" shows:
Temporary files for this virtual machine are stored in directory "/tmp/vmware-user", which is on an almost full filesystem. Please free some disk space. Would you like to continue? Select Retry to continue, Abort to terminate the session.[/i]
Answering 'Retry' just continues the VM with apparently now problem at all (apart from time synchronisation).
However, the root filesystem still has 39% free disk space, which accumulates to a bit more than 1.5Gb free space. The total size of the root filesystem is 4Gb. Another strange thing is that not all VMs are stuck; just a few of them. It always happens on 01:40am sharp, which happens to be '100 minutes after midnight'.
Anybody else saw this? Workarround? Feature or bug?
