I've installed vmware server on a host running linux (FC 5) and a guest OS win2000.
I've set up samba server on the linux.
When i browse de local net from the win2000, i can see de linux and even browse the folders, but when i point a file with the cursor, the system (the win2000) free about 30 seconds. Then, works fine some short time (some seconds) and the problem appears again. So, I can't copy any files.
First, y thought that it was a problem in the samba configuration, but , from other windows machine (a real machine, not virtualized) i can copy files from the linux box without any problem.
Either works in the other way. I've mounted the win2000 volume in the linux filesystem and when i tried to copy a file, it hangs de linux box (i have to power off-on the machine)
I've used tcpdump to monitor the linux when the vm connects, and it appears to be a problem with the network protocol.
Any ideas?
