Note this happens on VMware Workstation 5.5.1 and the latest VMware Server beta.
Host OS: Windows XP SP2, all latest hotfixes, hardware DEP enabled.
Guest OS: WS2003 SP1, HW DEP enabled, all latest hotfixes.
I built up a VM with above guest OS and then installed SQL 2000 Enterprise with SP4 and Reporting services. After the system rebooted it now blue screens with:
STOP: C0000139 Entry Point Not fount. The procedure entry point _resetstkoflw could not be located in the dynamic link library msvcrt.dll.
This first happened when installing SQL under VMware workstation 5.5.1, so I de-installed it and installed vmware server beta. Using the same VM I tried to boot the guest and it still crashed.
The same thing happens if I take a clean and working WS2003 SP1 VM and JUST install the latest vmware tools. Same blue screen.
This is an urgent matter since I'm trying to do some software testing for a client engagement in a few days and I'm DEAD in the water with these bluescreens.[/b]
Any input on what to try so I can get around these STOP messages would be GREATLY appreciate. I'm in a panic here...
