I've seen postings for similar problems on this forum, but none of the solutions have worked for me.
I have a VM that is frozen. It actually shows that it is suspended, but I believe that was a result of the last thing I tried to do with it, which was to revert to the stored snapshot. I get the "VM xxx is busy. Please wait until the operation is complete before closing." message when I try to close the tab.
Here is the first line of my log file, to provide version info: Log for VMware Server pid=4548 version=1.0.0 build=build-28343 option=Release
This guy has been stuck through thick and thin for a while now. Stopping and starting all VMware services and (I think) even a host reboot.
It seems that after stopping and starting all vmware services, I actually can close the tab and then reopen that VM. But it is always unresponsive to efforts to stop/start/revert, etc. And then it is back to being in a state where I can't close the tab.
I don't beleive that there is a vmware-vmx.exe process associated with this VM anymore. I beleive I killed that long ago (I have had to abandon the project of salvaging this VM several times, so some of the details are foggy).
Almost seems like the files are locked up somehow such that nothing can happen. I get a "ReadFile failed (code 109)" at the end of the log.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
