Hi all!
I've installed Vmware GSX Server 3.2 on my Windows 2003 Standard Edition server SP1. Then I've created some VMs (Windows 2000 Server, Windows XP SP1, Windows XP SP2) and wanted to organize their communication with computers in my physical network. Their network adapters are bridged. But whereas guest machines could send pings to each other and GSX host they couldn't ping physical computers that placed in the same network as GSX host. GSX host in its turn can ping computers in that network.
GSX host has two Broadcom NetXtreme Gigabit adapters. I've read some articles concerning the subject about not working teamed Broadcom adapters with bridged network, but the adapters are not teamed. One of the adapters is disabled. I've tried different options in the "Virtual Network Editor" with enabled and disabled automatic bridging. When I chosen wrong adapter (the disabled one) VMs couldn't send pings to GSX host. So I left that one with which pings are sent to GSX host. But I still couldn't make them communicate with physical computers.
My experience with GSX is rather little. Previously I worked with Vmware Workstation 4.5 and 5 and all that operations were sufficient to make virtual computers communicate with physical in one physical network. Are their any actions that I should do in order to make machines communicate with each other? Any help will be greatly appreciated.
