NIC teaming on Linux -> VMware Server bridging dosn't work

Dear all,

I am running a Linux SLES9 Server with VMware Server 1.0.1 Build 29996 and three Windows Server 2003 machines as VM's on the it.

On the Linux server the eth0 and eth1 are teamed as bond0 and now I would like to use both NIC's (the bond) for the bridged networking but it doesn't work.

The teamed NIC's have the IP adress 172.18.102.7 and one of the VM's has the 172.18.102.8. As I tried to do a ping from adress 8 to 7 almost 50 percent of the packages got lost.

My question: Does my configuration generally work anyhow? How do I have to configure my VMware Server?
