Bridged Networking - No route to host

Hi all,

I have a Linux FC4 host system set up with bridged networking (no NAT and no host-to-host)

I have a WinXP and a Debian OpenACS VM running with full networking configured and working properly (I can use tcp servers running on these VMs as web servers, ssh servers, etc)

I just installed a new VM from scratch with FC4 (Other 2.6.x kernel) and with VMware tools but my networking has some problems...

I can ping the VM from the network and from the host system but I cannot connect to tcp services on the VM

If I try to connect to it from the host system I get:

\# telnet 192.168.1.215 22

Trying 192.168.1.215...

telnet: connect to address 192.168.1.215: No route to host

telnet: Unable to connect to remote host: No route to host

From the FC4 VM I can use networking properly and access everything on my internal network and internet!

Really I cannot understand this strange behaviour

Tnx in advance for help

Regards

Edoardo
