Workstation vs Server Redux

I read many of the threads on Workstation vs. Server and still am not clear on which way to go.  I'm sure many people would like to know the answers to these questions. For example:

1) which is better for developing/testing software on multiple OSs?

2) which has better performance for the guest OS?

3) which can drag and drop files from the host OS?

4) can virtual machines created in WS be imported into Server, and vice versa?

5) which has a wider array of Operating systems it can create?

6) which can support 64-bit guest OS's?

7) which can support multiple processors in the guest OS?

8) can either virtualize multiple processors in a guest OS on a host machine with only one processor?

9) which can support server-class OS's (e.g., Windows 2003 Server, Windows 2000 Server, etc)?

10) which can virtualize a wider array of different hardware?

11) and the big one - will they eventually be retiring WS in favor of Server?

Maybe a VMWare person can step in here?

Thanks
