Hello,
I have a Windows XP as host and installed Ubuntu as guest OS.
The host connects to internet via proxy with authentication. Some servers in our LAN I can reach without proxy.
The guest OS is installed with NAT. I used the assistant and didn't change any network settings. The guest cannot connect to internet. So I set the same proxy settings on the guest OS. It didn't work in both cases. But I can reach servers in our LAN without the need of a proxy connection. So it seems the proxy is the problem.
I did some tests with ping and also http-connections. In both cases I used the IP-addresses in order to exclude DNS problems.
Has anybody a hint for me?
Thanks in advance,
Emmerich
