VMware Server on Unix + Active Directory authentication

Hello everyone.

We're migrating all our linux local accounts to Active Directory accounts from a 2003EE Windows server PDC.

Now, I've rolled this out in all Unix machines, including a ubuntu 6.06 LTS running VMware Server 1.0.1.

Now the problem is I can't get AD authentication with VMware Server.

I even followed the instruction as in for the ESX server (http://www.vmware.com/pdf/esx_authentication_AD.pdf) but neither pam_krb5.so or pam_winbind.so in the vmware-auth seem to work (complains it can't find them, but they ARE there and with the RIGHT permissions)

Has anyone sucessfully enabled AD authentication on a Linux VMware Server?
