Can't connect to web console on RHEL4

I'm using a windows(IE6) box to connect to the web console on a RHEL4 machine and all that I get is this message:

220 VMware Authentication Daemon Version 1.10: SSL Required, MKSDisplayProtocol:VNC

I get that message when I connect to the Linux box port 902 using http. When i use https on that same port I get a page not found. Looks like SSL is not working properly?

Any help would be appreciated. The Linux machine is text only so this is the only way that I can get to a console for vmware unless I am missing something.
