We've downloaded the Vmware server and are running it on SLES 9 running on an HP ML350 server.
We have a Windows 95 guest operating system (yeah, yeah, I know) that is running some very old software to control our door lock system (upgrading the OS is out of the question).
We used Ghost to backup the image on the old server and then restored it into the VM guest and after a reboot (with a lot of new hardware detections occuring) it is up and running.
After installing VMWare tools however we have a wierd issue where about every 10 - 15 seconds the console "flashes". By this I mean it goes totally black and then after a second or two comes back on.
When you first hook up to the console using the remote console utility there is also another issue where the screen doesn't draw entirely. YOu have to actually hit F5.
Anybody have any ideas what might be causing these issues? Is there an issue with the video driver that VMware tools installs in 95?
Any help would be appreciated.
