Hi everbody,
I am trying to set a Solaris 10 64 bit vm on a VMware Server 1.0.0 27828. The host is a Windows 2003 Server (32 bit) running on a dual core Athlon X2 3800.
I have, as usual, a clock synchro problem (clock running too fast). Using NTP under Solaris 10 is not possible, I got a lot of problems (CPU usage peaks at 100%, drop of all network connections...). Ntpdate also freeze the VM (100% cpu usage).
So I desactivated NTP and set in the vmx tools.synctime="true". I have powered off the VM, and after powered it on. The VMware tools are correctly installed in the VM. It seems to have no effect, except keyboard not really usable in the remote console and XDCMP connections broken.
Do you have any idea how to fix this clock problem ? I also tried to edit the vmware server config.ini to fix the host cpu clokk speed, but no effects.
Another question. I installed the last Sun xorg update. Now xorg seems to not take in consideration the resolution set in /etc/X11/xorg.conf. With this update, does xorg.conf need to be placed elsewhere ?
Thank you !
