I'm having a bit of trouble with Vmware server on my Windows XP host (and client). The OS in the virtual machine is SuSE 10.0-OSS. The VM files are stored on a directory of a removable USB hard disk with ~5 gigs of free space. The host/client machine is a Dell XPS laptop with a 3.4ghz processor and a gig of ram. VMware Tools have been installed on the virtual OS successfully.
The problem is, when I hit the 'pause' button to suspend the virtual machine, an error is displayed and the suspend fails:
Error encountered while saving suspend file ".\suse linux.vmss".
Looking through the log file, I see a few clues but have been unable to successfully track down and leads. It mentions a bug 49917, which I am unable to find any reference to in the knowledgebase or the forums.
