changed network interface name after cloning

Hello,

I've using Vmware server beta 3.

I have cloned a suse linux 10.0 32bit with a network interface eth0 configured. When I'm booting new cloned image, suse assigns eth1 to only one connected network interface.

When I make a image from yet cloned machine, suse assigns eth2 to only one connected network interface.

So, it seems normal mode of operation.  Is it really normal? What can I do?

Prepara a master clon without network card installed, and install it next on the cloned virtual machine, or use some techniques to assign predetermined logical network name. (http://www.science.uva.nl/research/air/wiki/LogicalInterfaceNames).

Thanks in advanced,
